Để thúc đẩy tăng trưởng xanh (TTX) cần có nguồn lực tài chính. Tuy nhiên, thực tiễn triển khai áp dụng chính sách tài chính - ngân sách liên quan đến TTX ở Việt Nam cũng bộc lộ một số điểm hạn chế. Vì vậy, trong bối cảnh hiện tại, cần xây dựng và triển khai toàn diện các định hướng và giải pháp tài chính xanh để đổi mới mô hình TTX.

Direct electricity trading mechanism for Vietnam promulgated

On July 3, 2024, the Government of Vietnam issued Decree 80/2024/ND-CP regulating the direct electricity trading mechanism between renewable energy generators and large electricity consumer. The Decree takes effect immediately from the date of publication, aiming to promote private investment in renewable energy development and eliminate existing obstacles in this field.

On August 10, 2023, the kick-off meeting of the technical assistance project "Assessment of National Readiness and International Experience in the Design of Carbon Trading Platform" was organized within the framework of the Southeast Asia Energy Transition Partnership (ETP). This project is funded by ETP to support the Ministry of Finance, carried out in the given context that Viet Nam made a strong commitment to achieving net-zero emissions by 2050 at the 26th United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP26).
